Basses

Like most guitarists, the official number of basses which I have is "a few, not that many".

My first bass was a Fender Mustang. This was replaced by a '77 (or '78) Jazz bass. A Hohner B2A joined it before being stolen along with a fretless B2AFL.

Following a break of many years, I took up playing again and started to add to my collection. Once I reached 25 basses, I realised that it might be better to favour quality rather than quantity. I'm now trying to offload a number of Squier basses which I've replaced with their Fender equivalent. Don't get me wrong - Squiers are very good but there's still a difference between a top end Squier and a Mexican Fender.
